I love thinking outside of the box when it comes to creative storage ideas. With Spring approaching, I am tackling organizing projects. I enjoy finding things at thrift stores and even just around my house, that I can remake for a different purpose then its first intended use. I found some fun ideas to inspire all of us to use fun and unusual items to help us get organized.

How about a tiered dessert server to organize your jewelry?

Or cookie sheets for boot and shoe trays in the mudroom…

I love this stock kitchen cabinet used for a sewing center…

And shutters made into a umbrella holder!

Love these antique forks re-purposed as creative holders on the wall…

And a dish drainer used for organizing file folders.

Great creativity with this tiered bath organizer used for gift wrapping supplies…

And…how about a coat rack in the bathroom for hanging towels, and robes?

Here is an easy gift wrapping station using a shower caddy hung on the wall…

And I think I will try this silverware caddy for my entryway items!
Isn’t it fun to look at items for new and creative storage ideas?

such cool ideas,..;-)
Love the storage/organization ideas you shared but my favorite has to be the forks on the wall for memos/notes! Assoon as I saw it my mind wasspinning of how did they do it and where could I use that idea! Love it! So…did they tell you how they achieved it? I have got to know! My cutest idea has to be for my vintage hankie collection…I used an old wooden spoon holder that I painted and shabbied up …hankies are adorable tucked into slots where spoon tops would rest!
I am digging that sewing center. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will be back in my ‘craft room’ and I am looking at what I should do for storage…
I love some of these. My favorite “out of the box” storage is using a tiered, swing-arm pants hanger to store ribbon spools. (You can see a photo of it on this post: http://www.crafttestdummies.com/commentary/crafting-spaces-for-spaces-to-craft-part-three/
Thanks for sharing! -Jenny
Loved the shutters turned into an umbrella stand. I need one to hold my canes too. I have been looking forever for a boot tray but any one that I would even consider were well out of my price rang. The cookie sheet is an awesome idea and I can’t wait to try it. Also, thanks to LadyJane for the great idea of using an old wooden spoon holder for vintage hankies. That is going to be a birthday present to my daughter who has so many beautiful hankies but has run out of ideas on how to display them. Thanks fo all.
love the sewing cabinet…and a few others!
Loved the use of the silverware caddy for an entryway collection point! And being a jewelry designer who’s always thrifting for a fresh and unique way to display my designs, I loved the tiered platter for jewelry! Will recommend this to boutiques that carry my line! Thank you, Denise!
Wow!!! this post is amazing!!!!
My Favorite is the desert tray for jewels. I am a jewelry designer as well.
I have a vintage green shutter that I salvaged & hang my all dangle earrings on. Beautiful & functional.
Thanks for sharing!
How do you think they attached the forks to the wall that holds the memo’s? Or am I looking at it wrong and its on a flat surface?
Anyway cute idea! Thanks!
I love your ideas and way of thinking! Not only do I want to use them in my home but my classroom also! You are amazing!
I loved all your creative storages… especially the entry way basket for all essentials before leaving for work! <3
What cute ideas using very practical things! Love it1
Love you ideas..is there somewhere I’m missing that tells HOW to do some of these things? I”m particularly interested in how you hung the FORKS for NOTES??
Lots of organizating going on here, we all need these fresh ideas!!
Love your ideas!!
Where can I find the 3 tier organizer featured in the sewing room?
Thanks, Judi
How did you attach the forks to the walls?
I love this idea and would love to know how they are mounted. There are many small things in my kitchen I would like up and available. Would like to mount on refridgerator or wooden cabinet.
